Questions
Before you order.
Which roast should I choose?
Light: Clean cup, gentle acidity. For pour-over and filter. Medium: Balanced roast with rounded body. Our everyday balance. Dark: Bold roast with full body. Ideal for espresso.
Why buy whole bean instead of ground?
Coffee starts to lose aroma soon after it is ground. Whole beans keep their freshness longer, and grinding just before you brew lets you set the grind for your method: coarse for filter and French press, fine for espresso.
How should I store whole beans?
Keep the bag sealed, or move the beans to an airtight container, and store it somewhere cool and dark, away from heat and moisture. Grind only what you need for each brew.
What does 100% Robusta mean?
Every bean is Robusta (Coffea canephora) from the Ziavi traditional area of Ghana's Volta Region, single origin and never blended with other coffees. Robusta brews a fuller-bodied cup than Arabica, with more crema in espresso and typically around twice the caffeine.
